Description
A collection of approximately twenty-three vintage American comic books, primarily published by Dell, dating to the mid-20th century. This lot features a diverse array of licensed cartoon characters from various studios including Walt Disney, Warner Bros., MGM, and Marge. Prominent titles within the collection include “Walt Disney’s Donald Duck,” “Walt Disney Comics and Stories,” “Mickey Mouse,” “Goofy,” “Tom and Jerry,” “Tweety and Sylvester,” “Little Lulu,” “Elmer Fudd,” “Andy Panda,” and “Jimmy Hatlo’s Little Iodine.” The visible pricing of 10¢, 15¢, and 25¢ is consistent with the Golden to early Silver Age period of comic book publishing. The comic books are made of paper.
Condition report:
Fair to good vintage condition. Visible signs of age, handling, and shelf wear are present throughout the collection, including creasing, edge wear, and some discoloration. Some covers may exhibit minor tears or scuffs consistent with age and use.
