Description
A group of three vintage American ‘Astounding Stories’ pulp science fiction magazines, including issues from September 1934 and September 1936, alongside one undated issue from the same period. Each magazine, originally priced at 20 cents, features vibrant, era-typical cover illustrations depicting futuristic scenes, spaceships, and scientific themes. The reverse sides display period advertisements, notably for cigarette brands such as Camel and Chesterfield. One issue bears a handwritten ’50c’ mark on its cover. A small yellow sticky note with the number ’19’ is included with the lot.
Condition report:
All three paper-bound magazines show significant wear consistent with their age. This includes creasing, edge tears, spine damage, yellowing of pages, and surface discoloration. Fair condition, commensurate with age and material.
