Description
This lot comprises five vintage American “Thrilling Wonder Stories” pulp magazines, identifiable by their colorful science fiction cover art featuring space themes, futuristic characters, and alien landscapes. Each magazine is subtitled “Science Fiction by Top Writers.” Visible issue identifiers include “25th ANNIVERSARY ISSUE,” “NOV. 25¢,” “JUNE 25¢,” “SUMMER 25¢,” “AUG. 25¢,” and “SPRING 25¢,” dating them to the mid-20th century, consistent with issues from the 1940s-1950s as identified in market research (e.g., 1947, 1948, 1950, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955). Prominently featured authors include Philip K. Dick and Theodore Sturgeon. Printed on paper, one magazine cover also displays a handwritten “APR-28” marking.
Condition report:
The magazines exhibit typical age-related wear, including creasing, scuffing, minor tears along the edges and spines, and some surface discoloration. The vibrant cover illustrations remain largely intact. Good overall condition consistent with age and use.
