Description
A group of six vintage American science fiction pulp magazines, predominantly from the 1950s. This collection includes two issues of ‘Startling Stories’ (August 1953 and May 1953, featuring the tagline “TODAY’S SCIENCE FICTION – TOMORROW’S FACT”), ‘Fantastic Story Magazine’ (January 1953, confirmed by web intelligence), ‘Science Fiction Digest’ (August, circa 1950s), and ‘Imagination Science Fiction’ (October 1958). Each magazine is marked at 25 cents and features colorful, illustrative cover art depicting fantastical and futuristic themes characteristic of the genre and period. The reverse sides display various period advertisements for items such as “Science-Fiction Classics,” a hospital plan, and Sheaffer’s Snorkel pens.
Condition report:
The overall condition is consistent with age and use for pulp literature, showing evident wear to the edges, creasing on covers, spine chipping, and age-toning to the paper. All magazines remain largely complete.
