Description
This lot features Secret Six (1968 1st Series) #3, a DC National Comic from the Silver Age, featuring “To Kill A… Mockingbird!” and a 12c cover price. It is individually encased in a clear plastic sleeve. Accompanying this is a group of six additional American comic books, predominantly from DC National Comics, generally characteristic of the Silver Age to early Bronze Age. These include “Challengers of the Unknown” (issues #76, #72, #109), “The Unexpected” (issue #109, featuring “Have You The Nerve To Face The Unexpected”), “Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen” (issue #91), and “Justice League of America.” Visible text includes “FEATURING THE MONSTER MAKER,” “A PLAGUE OF…,” and a “Roll Call” naming Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Hawkman. Cover prices range from 12c to 15c. Most issues display the “Approved by the Comics Code Authority” stamp. All comics are individually encased in clear plastic sleeves. A yellow sticky note bearing the handwritten number “63” is also present.
Condition report:
The apparent condition varies but generally appears good to very good for vintage paper items, with typical signs of age-appropriate wear but no immediately visible major tears or significant damage through the protective bags.
