Description
A pair of Jigsaw (1966) comic books, comprising issue #1 (September) and issue #2 (December), published by Harvey Thriller Comics at a price of 12¢ each. Both feature classic Silver Age comic book artwork with vibrant illustrations depicting the hero Jigsaw engaged in combat with various fantastical antagonists. Speech bubbles include “YOU’VE MET YOUR MATCH, ZANARONE! I’M JIGSAW – AND I’M GOING TO PLAY DIRTY ONCE AGAIN!” and “OH, BUT IT’S NOT HUMAN! HE’S RIGHT OUT OF A SCI-FI MOVIE… IT’S A JIGSAW MAN!” The back covers feature period advertisements: one for Wallace Brown, Inc., promoting Christmas cards and money-making ventures, and the other for Aurora Plastics Corp., showcasing “Holy Hobby Kits!” including “The Batmobile!” and “Robin!” model kits, with a visible copyright date of 1966. The comics are paper-based.
Condition report:
Good, readable condition. Both issues exhibit typical age-related wear including cover creasing, minor edge and corner damage, and some surface discoloration. No significant tears or missing elements observed.
