Description
A group of three vintage Western-themed comic books, identified through web intelligence as including two Hopalong Cassidy issues. The first comic, titled “Starry THE WYOMING KIDS. WESTERN COMICS,” depicts cowboys on horseback. The second is “AMERICA’S FAVORITE COWBOY HOPALONG CASSIDY,” starring William Boyd on a white horse, with its reverse side featuring an advertisement for “Fineline” pens by W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. The third is also “HOPALONG CASSIDY,” promoting an “EXCITING GIGANTIC CONTEST!” with “5000 PRIZES” and “The Golden Rodeo!,” marked with an “APPROVED BY THE COMICS CODE AUTHORITY” stamp, and its back cover advertises a “Daisy Eagle” air rifle. All three items are printed on paper and originally priced at “10c.”
Condition report:
The comic books display characteristic wear consistent with their apparent age and use, including creasing, minor tears, and some color fading.
