Description
A collection of 7 vintage romance comic books, prominently featuring Secret Hearts #42 (DC, 1957). The lot comprises comics primarily from the mid-20th century, identifiable by their 10-cent cover prices and dates such as “April 1959” and “Mar-Apr 1959.” Visible titles include “Romantic, ” “G.I. Sweethearts, ” “True War Romance, ” “Cowboy Love, ” “Personal LOVE, ” “Secret Hearts, ” and “Secret Love.” Many of the comics feature the “Approved by the Comics Code Authority” seal. Printed on paper with vibrant colored ink, the covers illustrate various dramatic romantic themes, with prominent text snippets such as “Why didn’t you listen to me? Why didn’t you stay home? The battlefield is no place for a woman!” (G.I. Sweethearts) and “If Brad knew about this… he would never forgive me!” (Secret Hearts).
