Description

A set of three ‘Mr. District Attorney’ comic books, published by DC Comics, from the 1948 series, comprising issues No. 4 (July-August), No. 24 (November-December), and No. 27 (May-June). Each comic was originally priced at 10 cents and features Golden/Silver Age crime/mystery art styles, with cover titles such as “LAW VS. CRIME!” and “FEATURING THE CRAZIEST CRIME!”. All three consistently display the text “BRAND-NEW ADVENTURES OF T.V. AND RADIO’S FAVORITE!” at the top. The reverse sides feature period-specific advertisements, including one for “Thom McAn” promoting baseball and offering a “FREE! THIS BIG FULL-SIZE PHOTO OF BOBBY FELLER!”, another for “FREE! 10 ‘HITLER HEADS'” stamps, and a third for “NEW ‘Closer Grooved’ 78 R.P.M. Records”. A small piece of paper with the handwritten numeral “123” is present below the comics.

Condition report:

The comic books exhibit typical age-related wear, including creasing, edge wear, spine stress, and discoloration, consistent with vintage paper ephemera.
