Description
A professionally graded Silver Age comic book, Marvel Comics’ *The Avengers* #8, dated September 1964. This issue is notable for the first appearance of Kang the Conqueror, whose name is prominently featured on the cover. The comic is encapsulated in a transparent CGC (Certified Guaranty Company) Universal Grade plastic slab, displaying a grade of 4.5 with “Off-White to White Pages.” The story is by Stan Lee, with cover and interior art by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers. The cover illustration depicts Kang the Conqueror, a masked figure in green and purple, confronting an array of Avengers members including Iron Man, Giant-Man, Thor, Wasp, and Captain America, against a backdrop of yellow energy bursts.
