Description
An American Silver Age superhero comic book, “The Amazing Spider-Man #40,” published by Marvel Comics in September 1966. The comic is encapsulated by CGC (Certified Guaranty Company) with a RESTORED GRADE of 7.0 (Slight B-1) and OFF-WHITE TO WHITE Pages. The cover, attributed to Stan Lee (story) and John Romita and Mike Esposito (cover and art), depicts Spider-Man standing over a defeated Green Goblin amidst a fiery background, with prominent text “SPIDEY SAVES THE DAY!” and “THE END OF THE GREEN GOBLIN!”. Additional details visible on the cover include the Marvel Comics Group logo, a 12¢ price, and the “Approved by the Comics Code Authority” seal. The CGC label also notes the “Origin of the Green Goblin” and serial number 4622080010.

CGC RESTORED GRADE 7.0 (Slight B-1) with OFF-WHITE TO WHITE Pages. Restoration includes a small amount of color touch on the cover.
