Description
MAD Magazine No. 14, August 1954. This vintage satirical magazine features a front cover caricature of the Mona Lisa holding a copy of ‘MAD’ magazine, set against a landscape. The cover also displays the titles ‘TALES CALCULATED TO DRIVE YOU MAD’ and ‘HUMOR IN A JUGULAR VEIN,’ alongside two ‘EC’ logos and a cover price of 10c. The back cover presents an advertisement for ‘CHARLES ATLAS’ and his ‘Dynamic Tension’ exercise program, headlined ‘Hey SKINNY!’ and illustrated with comic strip depictions of individuals before and after using the program. The magazine is made of paper.
