Description
This lot comprises three vintage American comic books from DC Comics, featuring iconic characters Superman and Batman. Two complete issues of “World’s Finest Comics” are included: No. 39 (March-April, 15c) featuring Batman, Superman, and Robin on the cover, and No. 2 (10c) with Superman and Robin, incorporating a “1000 LBS” story element on the cover. The third item is an interior page from a Superman comic, titled “My Disguise is SUPERMAN!?”, featuring the hero. The reverse sides of the items feature period advertisements, including a “1949 Baseball Handbook” from Thom McAn and a “Daisy BB Handbook,” with the third showing panels from a Western-themed comic. Constructed from printed paper in a classic comic book art style. A small white slip bearing the number “419” is visible beneath the items.
Condition report:
The items display apparent wear consistent with age and handling, such as creasing, edge wear, surface abrasions, and general paper toning and discoloration. All items remain largely intact. Condition is considered Fair to Good.
