Description
A group of approximately 16 vintage Classics Illustrated comic books, presented with their original colorful illustrated paper covers. These issues feature adaptations of classic literature, with visible titles including “Rip Van Winkle,” “Ivanhoe” (by Sir Walter Scott), “Two Years Before the Mast” (by R.H. Dana), “Benjamin Franklin,” “White Fang” (by Jack London), “The Black Arrow” (by Robert Louis Stevenson), “Moby Dick” (by Herman Melville), “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court,” “Silas Marner,” and “Prester John.” Many covers display original pricing of “10¢” or “15¢,” along with issue numbers such as No. 2, 12, 18, 24, 25, 31, 36, 58, 65, 73, 80, 83, and 133, indicating a range across the series. A white slip with the handwritten number “479” is visible in the lower center.
