Description
A group of five vintage American comic books, titled ‘Adventures of the Fly,’ published by Archie Comics. Each comic is priced at 10 cents and features ‘The Fly’ in various action scenes. Visible issues are dated May, August, July, September, and January, suggesting a publication period spanning the late 1950s to early 1960s. One issue features the headline ‘The Fly meets the Cat Girl,’ which corresponds to the first appearance of Catgirl. Other headlines include ‘Society News’ and ‘HOW DID THE WEAPON SHOP FIND WEAPONS FOR HIS MASTERPIECE OF EVIL?!’. The reverse sides display period advertisements for products such as remote control cars, dinosaur figures, signet rings, space capsules, and roller skates. These comics are characteristic of the Silver Age of comic books.

The comics appear in fair to good overall condition, exhibiting typical signs of age and handling. Visible creasing, edge wear, and discoloration are present, consistent with vintage paper items. Colors remain vibrant. A small white sticky note with the handwritten number \'484\' is affixed to the lower right corner of the lot.
