Description
This lot comprises approximately thirteen vintage comic books, primarily published by Dell Comics, dating from the mid-20th century. The comics are mostly priced at 12c, with one at 10c, and one cover is explicitly dated March 1963. The collection features a variety of genres and titles, including “Frankenstein,” “Dracula,” “Mel Monster,” “I’m Dickens… He’s Fenster” (featuring actor John Astin), “Sir Lancelot,” “The Life of Riley with William Bendix,” “Adlai” (likely referring to Adlai Stevenson), and “Dun and Lo” (presumably Duncan and Lola). Visible cover text includes phrases such as “THE WORLD’S NEWEST, GREATEST AND STRANGEST SUPER HERO!”, “COLLECTOR ISSUE”, and “THE ORIGIN OF THE NEW FRANKENS”. At least one comic is housed in a protective plastic sleeve.
