Description
A collection of five vintage American comic books published by EC Comics, featuring three issues of ‘Two-Fisted Tales’ and two issues of ‘Frontline Combat’. The collection includes ‘Two-Fisted Tales’ No. 30 (Jan/Feb), No. 34 (Sept/Oct), and No. 38 (May/June), alongside ‘Frontline Combat’ No. 10 (July/Aug) and No. 14 (Jan/Feb). Each comic is branded with the tagline ‘WAR AND FIGHTING MEN’ and features a 10-cent cover price. The illustrations are consistent with mid-20th century military-themed comics, depicting soldiers, tanks, planes, and submarines in action. Back covers display various period advertisements, such as one for a ‘Burgess-All Purpose Electric Sprayer’ and another for ‘Silk-finish enlargement’ frames. One ‘Two-Fisted Tales’ comic is visibly housed within a protective plastic sleeve.
Condition report:
Overall condition is fair to good, with visible age-related wear including creasing, edge wear, and some discoloration to the paper. A small white slip of paper with the handwritten number \'512\' is present with the lot.
