A Golden Age comic book, DC Comics: Boy Commandos No. 23, published in 1947, featuring cover and interior art by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby (S&K). The cover is marked “TEN CENTS” with a “SEPT…OCT.” date range and displays a colorful illustration of three figures riding winged, reptilian creatures, with prominent text stating “A 52 PAGE MAGAZINE” and “THE SUNKEN WORLD!”.
