Description
A period paper comic book, “THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN,” identified as Volume 1, Issue #1 from July 1968, featuring the story “Lo, This Monster!”. The front cover displays classic superhero comic art depicting Spider-Man in a dynamic pose, overlooking a cityscape against a yellow moon-like background. Visible text on the front includes “THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN,” “10¢,” “JULY,” “LO, THIS MONSTER!,” and “A BOOK-LENGTH SUPER-SPIDEY SPECTACULAR!.” The reverse side features a black and white advertisement for “JADE EAST GOLDEN LIME” after shave and cologne, specifying prices from “$2.50” and “$3.50” respectively, and noting “NEW…” as well as “SWANK Lts. – Sole Distributors.”

Fair to good condition. The item shows expected wear for its age, including some creasing, edge wear, and minor spine stress. Pages exhibit some age-related tanning.
