A collection of four issues of Larry Ivie’s Monsters and Heroes magazines, including the First Issue, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 7. Each magazine features colorful pulp-style cover art depicting fantastical creatures and heroic figures. Visible text on the covers references ‘Frankenstein,’ ‘Son of Tarzan,’ ‘Costumed Heroes,’ ‘Movie Serials,’ ‘Comix,’ ‘Mythology,’ ‘Rapp’s Captain Midnight,’ and ‘The Mummy.’ The reverse sides and interior spreads extensively showcase content by Edgar Rice Burroughs, including illustrations and articles related to his works such as ‘The Son of Tarzan,’ ‘Barsoom,’ ‘At The Earth’s Core,’ and ‘The Warlord of Mars.’ The items are constructed with stapled paper bindings.
