This lot consists of a collection of three autographed baseballs, each representing a different figure in Major League Baseball history. The first baseball is signed by Eddie Yost, known as The Walking Man, with the signature Ed Yost appearing on a side panel in orange ink. It is housed in a display cube with a gold-tone plaque identifying him as a six-time base on balls leader. The second baseball features the signature of Sean Green, former pitcher for the New York Mets, signed on the sweet spot. The Eddie Yost baseball exhibits significant overall yellowing and toning consistent with age, while the orange signature remains bold and legible. The Sean Green baseball is relatively white with minimal toning, but the signature is significantly faded and light. The Bobby Thomson baseball shows light, even toning and features a visible CHINA manufacturer stamp on the top panel; the signature is clear but shows light fading. The gold-tone identification plaque on the Thomson display is cracked vertically through the center. The acrylic display cubes show various minor surface scuffs and typical wear from storage.
