The ball dates to the Paul Tagliabue commissioner era (1989-2006) and was specifically designed as a commemorative item for collecting. Notable signatures identified and verified by James Spence Authentication include 1953 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Lattner (inscribed #14), three-time National Champion head coach Urban Meyer (signed during his tenure as a Notre Dame assistant), and former head coach Gerry Faust.
