BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! Two Authenticated Philadelphia Baseball Memorabilia Items Including Jim Konstanty Signed Photo and 1975 Program
This lot features two authenticated artifacts related to Philadelphia baseball history. The first item is a monochrome blue-tinted photograph of Jim Konstanty, the star relief pitcher for the 1950 Philadelphia Phillies Whiz Kids and National League MVP. The photo depicts Konstanty in uniform following a pitch and is signed Jim Konstanty in blue ink along the bottom margin. It is accompanied by a James Spence Authentication JSA Basic Certification card and matching tamper-evident sticker on the reverse, certification number AK98129. The second item is an original event program for the First Annual Philadelphia Baseball Card and Sports Memorabilia Show, dated September 27, 1975. The program cover features a reproduction of the T206 Honus Wagner baseball card and includes two signatures on the cover: George Walton in black ink and a second signature in blue ink attributed to New York Mets player Ed Kranepool. This item includes a JSA Basic Certification card and matching sticker on the reverse, certification number AU09754.
Condition report:
Both items are in vintage condition. The Jim Konstanty photograph shows minor age-related toning and light corner wear; the signature is well-preserved and clear. The 1975 program exhibits significant overall yellowing and toning due to age with some minor creasing and edge wear consistent with a paper item of this period. The staples show slight oxidation. Authenticity certifications and matching stickers are present and intact.
