BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Large Collection of Modern Era Baseball and Vintage Hockey Trading Cards
This lot consists of a substantial collection of sports trading cards, primarily focused on modern baseball releases from 2017, housed in a professional white cardboard multi-row storage box. The collection is meticulously organized with handwritten dividers and features a broad range of base cards, prospects, and insert sets. Notable baseball sets identified include 2017 Bowman with Base (1-100) and Base Prospects (BP 1-150), 2017 Bowman Platinum including a complete or near-complete Set #2 and various inserts, 2017 Topps Archives with Diamond Tributes and Lumber Company subsets, 2017 Topps Pro Debut, and 2017 Panini Stars and Stripes. Specific individual highlights include Bowman Chrome Prospect parallels with yellow and gold borders featuring players such as Franklin Kilome, Francisco Mejia, Andy Ibañez, and Stephen Gonsalves. Insert highlights include Topps Archives Diamond Tributes featuring Scott Rolen and Chipper Jones, and Lumber Company cards of Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle and Tony Gwynn. The collection also includes several rookie cards, most notably 2016 Henry Owens cards from Topps and Panini Donruss Optic, including a pink Rated Rookie parallel, and a 2014 Bowman James Paxton. Additionally, the lot contains a vintage 1978-79 O-Pee-Chee hockey card of Borje Salming for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The cards are organized using handwritten categorization dividers and a significant portion of the premium cards are protected in soft sleeves and rigid plastic top loaders.
Condition report:
The modern cards from the 2017 releases appear to be in excellent to near-mint condition with sharp corners, clean edges, and good centering on the visible specimens. Many of the high-value inserts and rookie cards are well-protected in individual top loaders. The vintage Borje Salming hockey card shows moderate corner wear and surface aging consistent with a mid-grade vintage item. The storage box and handwritten dividers show typical wear from handling but remain functional for organization. None of the cards in this lot are professionally graded.
