Description
BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of Eight Vintage 1956 Topps and Modern Baseball Trading Cards
This lot consists of a collection of eight baseball trading cards, primarily featuring original issues from the 1956 Topps set. The 1956 Topps group includes Hall of Famers Pee Wee Reese (number 30) and Duke Snider (number 170), alongside Harvey Kuenn (number 155), Mickey McDermott (number 340), and two examples of Roger Craig (number 63). These vintage cards feature colorized portraits with smaller action photographs set against various stadium backgrounds and have the white back variation. The collection also includes two modern cards: a 2007 Topps Heritage Mickey Mantle (number 573) designed in the style of the 1952 Topps issue, and a 1988 Pacific Baseball Legends Pee Wee Reese (number 21). The reverse of each card contains player biographies, professional statistics, and copyright information for Topps Chewing Gum (T.C.G.) or Pacific Trading Cards.
Condition report:
The vintage 1956 Topps cards are in ungraded, raw condition and show signs of handling consistent with their age. Corner wear is present throughout the 1956 issues, ranging from light softening to moderate rounding. Centering varies across the lot; several cards, notably the Duke Snider and one Roger Craig example, are significantly off-center to the right. Minor edge wear is visible on several cards, including the Harvey Kuenn issue. The surfaces appear generally clean and free of major creases or stains. The modern 2007 Topps Heritage and 1988 Pacific cards are in excellent to near-mint condition with sharp corners and crisp edges.
