BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! 1955 Bowman Bob Feller Cleveland Indians Baseball Card No. 134
This is a 1955 Bowman baseball card featuring Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller of the Cleveland Indians, identified as card number 134. The card belongs to the series famously known for its “TV Set” design, which features a color photograph of the player framed by a wood-grain television border. A small white nameplate reading FELLER is positioned on the right side of the image frame, and a gold-toned banner at the bottom of the screen graphic reads Color TV. The reverse side includes biographical details for Feller, a comprehensive career pitching record, and a narrative section titled MY FAVORITE BASEBALL MEMORIES by Bob Feller. Copyright information for Bowman Gum, Inc. (marked as B.G.H.L.I.) is printed in the lower-left corner of the reverse, with PRINTED IN U.S.A. centered at the bottom.
Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.
Condition report:
This card is ungraded and shows signs of age-appropriate wear. The centering on the front is shifted significantly toward the left border, while the reverse is off-center toward the top-left corner. All four corners show rounding and softening, with the bottom-left corner on the front displaying the most pronounced wear. Chipping and general wear are visible along all four edges. The front surface has light scuffing and minor indentations. The reverse shows natural age-toning but remains clean with sharp, legible text and no major creasing observed.
