The reverse of the card provides his complete Major League batting record, detailing statistics from his 1961 debut season through 1979. A biographical section at the bottom lists personal information and his acquisition by the Red Sox in 1958. A commemorative cartoon on the left side of the reverse highlights his 1967 Triple Crown and American League MVP achievements. The card is printed on standard cardstock and is housed in a clear protective soft sleeve. Printed markings on the reverse include the card number 720 in a square box at the top left and the copyright notice D* copyright 1980 Topps Chewing Gum, Inc. Prtd. in U.S.A. at the bottom left.
