An assortment of United States presidential and political memorabilia featuring signed hardcover books, commemorative periodicals, and ephemera. The collection includes a hardcover edition of Decision Points by George W. Bush (Crown, 2010), signed by the author in black ink on the half-title page. Also present is a hardcover edition of Spoken from the Heart by Laura Bush (Scribner, 2010), signed by the author in blue ink on the title page. A hardcover copy of Let Trump Be Trump: The Inside Story of His Rise to the Presidency by Corey R. Lewandowski and David N. Bossie (Center Street, 2017) is signed by both authors in black ink on the title page.
The lot features a deluxe autographed and numbered edition of The Crossing by Jack E. Levin and Mark R. Levin (Threshold Editions, 2013). This copy is a Signed Limited Edition, numbered 426 of 4000, and is housed in a blue slipcase with silver-toned corner accents. It includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Premiere Collectibles, signed by the Supervisor of Authenticity, and both authors have signed the tipped-in limitation page.
Periodicals in the collection include the November 5, 2008, edition of The Frederick News-Post, featuring the historic headline regarding Barack Obama’s election victory. Also included is a TIME magazine Special Bicentennial Issue, dated September 26, 1789, featuring George Washington on the cover. Additional ephemera includes a “Presidential Fact Finder” pull-tab educational card, copyrighted 1991 by Perrygraf, listing presidents through George H. W. Bush.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition. Hardcover books retain their original dust jackets, which show minor shelf wear and light rubbing to the edges and corners. There is visible sticker residue on the front of the dust jackets for Decision Points and Spoken from the Heart. The slipcase for The Crossing shows very light edge wear. Periodicals exhibit typical handling wear, including light toning and creases from being folded. Ephemera shows minor surface wear consistent with age.
