Progressive Pictures Corp., Delinquent Parents (1938) Original Half-Sheet Movie Poster This is an original half-sheet movie poster for the 1938 film Delinquent Parents, produced by Progressive Pictures Corp. and directed by Nick Grinde. The film features a principal cast including Doris Weston, Maurice Murphy, Helen MacKellar, Terry Walker, Richard Tucker, and Theodore von Eltz. This poster is a notable example of late-1930s independent Poverty Row studio advertising, featuring vibrant stone lithography. Authentication markers include the printer credit for Continental Litho. Corp. of Cleveland, Ohio, located in the lower-left margin. Condition report:
The poster is in good vintage condition and remains in its original folded state. The front displays prominent horizontal and vertical fold lines with minor wear and tiny separations at the cross-folds. There are scattered pinholes in the corners and along the margins, along with minor edge tears and small chips consistent with theatrical use. Light surface soiling and minor age-related discoloration are present. The reverse shows significant tanning and foxing (brown spotting) due to age, as well as areas of damp staining and general surface dirt. These reverse-side issues do not significantly impact the integrity or display quality of the front-facing graphic.
