A collection of seven vintage comic books published by Marvel Comics Group, primarily featuring the Bronze Age superhero team The Defenders. The lot includes issue numbers 17, 18, 29, 50, 61, 100, and the final issue of the original run, The New Defenders 152. These issues span from 1974 to 1986 and include work by notable cover artists such as Gil Kane, Al Milgrom, Ed Hannigan, and Klaus Janson.

The collection features several significant key and milestone issues:

The Defenders number 17 (November 1974) guest-starring Luke Cage, Power Man, marking his first appearance in the title.

The Defenders number 18 (December 1974) featuring the first appearance of the Wrecking Crew, including Wrecker, Thunderball, Piledriver, and Bulldozer.

The Defenders number 29 (November 1975) featuring a battle against the Badoon and guest-starring the original Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Defenders number 50 (August 1977) a 50th anniversary milestone issue.

The Defenders number 61 (July 1978) guest-starring Spider-Man.

The Defenders number 100 (October 1981) a double-sized anniversary issue featuring the core lineup of Doctor Strange, Hulk, Namor, and the Silver Surfer.

The New Defenders number 152 (February 1986) the double-sized final issue of the series.

Each comic book is presented in an individual protective plastic sleeve with a cardboard backing board.

Condition report:

The comic books are in raw, un-graded condition. Issues 17 and 18 show visible shelf wear consistent with age, including spine stresses with color breaking and minor blunting at the corners. The later issues appear to be in mid-to-high grade condition, exhibiting typical minor spine ticks and slight softening at the corners. All covers retain good gloss and vibrant colors with no significant structural damage or cover detachments visible through the packaging.
