This collection consists of multiple vintage comic books published by Atlas Comics, a line from Seaboard Periodicals, in 1975. The group features several premiere number one issues from the short-lived publisher. Included titles are Wulf the Barbarian No. 1 (February 1975) and No. 2 (April 1975); two copies of Targitt No. 1 (March 1975) featuring the story The Boston Tea Party!; Phoenix No. 1 (January 1975) subtitled The Man of Tomorrow; Morlock 2001 No. 1 (February 1975) subtitled The World’s Strangest Super-Hero; and Ironjaw No. 1 (January 1975). The Morlock issue displays printed cover signatures for Al Milgrom and Dick Giordano at the lower left. All items are presented in raw condition, individually bagged with backing boards. These publications are standard staple-bound comic books with color covers and newsprint interior pages.
Condition report:
The comic books appear to be in mid-to-high grade condition, with an estimated range of Fine to Very Fine. Covers retain original gloss and vibrant color. Minor spine stress lines and light corner wear are visible on various issues, consistent with age and handling. No major tears, stains, or detached covers are apparent from visual inspection. These items have not been professionally graded by CGC or CBCS.
