A collection of seven vintage silver age comic books published by DC Comics under the National Periodical Publications imprint, comprising the complete original run of the Angel and the Ape series from 1968 to 1969. The assortment includes issues 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Titles for the first three issues are Angel and the Ape, while issues 4 through 7 are titled Meet Angel and the Ape. Cover art is by Bob Oksner, with his signature visible on the lower right of issue number 1. Issue number 1 represents the premiere issue of the characters first self-titled solo series following their debut in Showcase number 77. Each comic displays the circular Superman DC National Comics logo in the upper left and the Approved by the Comics Code Authority seal in the upper right. Issues 1, 2, 3, and 4 feature a 12 cent cover price, while issues 5, 6, and 7 show a 15 cent cover price. The collection includes the following cover dates: No. 1 (December 1968), No. 2 (February 1969), No. 3 (April 1969), No. 4 (June 1969), No. 5 (August 1969), No. 6 (October 1969), and No. 7 (December 1969). All comics are presented in individual clear protective plastic bags with white card backing boards.

Condition report:

The comics are in ungraded, raw condition. The covers generally present with bright colors and good shelf appearance. Visible wear includes minor stress lines along the spines and slight corner blunting across the collection. Issue number 1 exhibits light creasing near the bottom right corner. Issue number 4 shows a vertical crease passing through the title logo. The items have not been removed from their protective packaging for internal page inspection, but covers appear to be securely attached.
