BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of Five Vintage Marvel Comics Conan the Barbarian Issues 12-16

This collection consists of five vintage comic books featuring Conan the Barbarian, published by the Marvel Comics Group between 1971 and 1972. The group includes a consecutive run of issues starting from number 12 through number 16.

Issue 12 (December 1971) features the story The Dweller in the Dark with cover art by Gil Kane and Frank Giacoia. Issue 13 (January 1972) is titled Web of the Spider-God! and features cover art by Barry Smith. Issue 14 (March 1972) is a significant key issue titled A Sword Called… Stormbringer! which features the first full comic book appearance of Elric of Melniboné in the story The Coming of Elric. Issue 15 (May 1972) is titled The Hell-Hordes of Chaos! and continues the Conan and Elric crossover. Issue 16 (July 1972) titled Night of the Frost-Giants! is a classic adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s short story The Frost Giant’s Daughter.

Issues 13, 14, 15, and 16 all feature cover art by Barry Smith (now known as Barry Windsor-Smith), with his printed signature visible on the front of each. The comics are in standard American comic book format and are offered in raw, unslabbed condition.

Condition report:

The collection is in mid-grade, raw condition and shows typical signs of age and handling. All five issues exhibit visible spine stress lines and some minor color breaking along the spine. Staples remain intact and covers are securely attached to the interior pages. General light edge and corner wear is present across the set. Notably, Issue 14 has a prominent dark stain on the bottom right-hand corner of the front cover. The paper across all issues shows mild off-white to yellowish toning consistent with publications from this era.
