This collection consists of four issues of Conan the Barbarian published by Marvel Comics Group in 1971. The issues included are number 8, 9, 10, and 11. All four comics feature cover and interior artwork by Barry Smith, later known as Barry Windsor-Smith. Issue 8, dated August 1971 with a 15 cent price point, features the story The Keepers of the Crypt! Issue 9, dated September 1971 with a 15 cent price point, features the story The Garden of Fear! Issue 10, dated October 1971 with a 25 cent price point, includes the story Beware the Wrath of the Bull-God! and a Kull the Conqueror backup story. Issue 11, dated November 1971 with a 25 cent price point, features the story The Talons of… Thak! Each issue bears the printed signature of Barry Smith on the front cover. These are standard first printings from the Bronze Age of comic books.
Condition report:
The comic books are in raw, ungraded condition and appear to be in mid-grade state. All four issues exhibit visible spine stress marks and minor corner blunting consistent with age and newsstand handling. Issue 10 shows a light vertical crease near the right edge of the front cover. No significant structural defects such as detached covers or major tearing are observed.
