This lot features a collection of six vintage comic books published by the Marvel Comics Group under the title Daredevil (The Man Without Fear!). The assembly spans from the late Silver Age to the mid-Bronze Age and includes the following issues: Daredevil number 55 (August 1969) featuring Mr. Fear and the Coward cover theme; Daredevil number 73 (February 1971) featuring the Zodiac with cameos by Iron Man and Nick Fury; Daredevil number 113 (September 1974) featuring the Gladiator; two copies of Daredevil number 133 (May 1976) featuring guest star Uri Geller and the Mind-Wave; and Daredevil number 142 (February 1977) featuring Cobra and Mr. Hyde. The comics feature cover art by notable industry artists including Gene Colan, George Klein, Bill Everett, Gil Kane, Klaus Janson, Rich Buckler, Dan Adkins, and Al Milgrom. All comics are ungraded (raw) and are housed in individual protective plastic sleeves with backing boards.
Condition report:
The collection is in ungraded condition and shows various signs of age-appropriate wear. Issue number 55 shows visible spine stress, surface creasing, wear along the left spine edge, and a handwritten SNP notation in yellow marker on the upper left corner of the cover. Issue number 73 exhibits spine stress and a small crease on the bottom right corner. Issue numbers 113, 133 (both copies), and 142 appear to be in overall good condition with minor spine stress and light shelf wear.
