This lot comprises six vintage comic books from the DC Comics title World’s Finest Comics, featuring team-ups with Superman, Batman, and various other heroes. The collection includes issues from the Silver and Bronze Ages of American comics. Included in the collection is issue number 169 (September 1967), which features the story The Supergirl-Batgirl Plot. Two copies of issue number 210 (March 1972) are present, featuring a Superman and Green Arrow team-up in a 52-page giant format. Issue number 229 (April 1975) features Superman, Batman, and Metamorpho. Issue number 231 (July 1975) features the Super Sons along with Green Arrow and The Flash. Issue number 242 (December 1976) features the Super Sons in the story The Town of Timeless Killers. Cover art is attributed to artists Curt Swan, George Klein, Nick Cardy, and Ernie Chua. Each comic book is individually stored in a protective plastic bag with an acid-free backing board.
Condition report:
The comic books are in raw, ungraded condition, ranging from approximately Very Good/Fine to Very Fine. Issue number 169 exhibits mid-grade characteristics, including visible spine stress with color-breaking ticks, minor corner blunting, and light surface wear. The two copies of issue number 210 and issue number 242 present in higher-grade condition with sharp corners, flat spines, and high cover gloss. Issue number 229 shows minor surface scuffing typical of dark cover inks. Issue number 231 displays light handling wear along the edges. No major defects such as detached covers or water damage are visible from the exterior. Interiors have not been inspected for completeness or internal coupons.
