This lot consists of five vintage Bronze Age comic books published by Marvel Comics Group and DC Comics, all featuring cover art by Jack Kirby. Included is Orion of the New Gods issue 2 (DC Comics, May 1977), which is part of the mid-1970s reprint series of Kirby’s Fourth World saga. Marvel Comics titles include Devil Dinosaur issue 9 (December 1978), featuring the story The Lizard’s Last Stand, and Devil Dinosaur issue 4 (July 1978), featuring the story Objects From the Sky. Key issues in this group include the premiere issue of 2001: A Space Odyssey issue 1 (Marvel Comics, December 1976), which marks the first appearance of Mister Machine, later known as Machine Man. Orion of the New Gods issue 2 exhibits minor spine stress with small color-breaking creases and light shelf wear on the edges and corners. Devil Dinosaur issue 9 is well-preserved with vibrant colors, showing minor spine ticks and slight blunting at the corners. Devil Dinosaur issue 4 shows a light spine roll, multiple color-breaking stress lines along the spine, and light surface wear on the front cover. 2001: A Space Odyssey issue 1 has a mid-grade appearance with notable spine stress lines, slight corner wear, and minor handling marks on the glossy surface. 1st Issue Special issue 5 shows more significant wear, including heavy spine stress, a small chip or tear at the bottom right corner, and general corner blunting. No detached covers or major structural failures are present in the lot.
