BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Trio of DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest Comic Books featuring Green Arrow and Green Lantern
This lot consists of three vintage DC Comics digest-sized collections from the DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest reprint series, published in the early 1980s. Each issue measures approximately 4.8 by 6.5 inches.
The first item is Issue No. 23, cover dated July 1982, titled Green Arrow: 100 Epic Pages Starring the Battling Bowman!. The cover art, signed APARO for Jim Aparo, features Green Arrow (Oliver Queen), Speedy, and Black Canary.
The second item is Issue No. 4, cover dated October 1980, titled Green Lantern: 6 Sensational Stories Revealing the Secrets of Green Lantern!. The cover art is signed GIORDANO for Dick Giordano and features the Golden Age Green Lantern (Alan Scott) and the Silver Age Green Lantern (Hal Jordan). This issue includes a printed barcode on the lower left of the front cover.
The third item is Issue No. 16, cover dated December 1981, titled Green Lantern: 6 Award-Winning Comic Classics by Denny O’Neil and Neal Adams!. This digest reprints stories from the 1970s Dennis O’Neil and Neal Adams run. The cover features classic imagery by Neal Adams.
All three volumes originally retailed for 95 cents and are constructed with color paper covers and newsprint interior pages.
Condition report:
These items are in raw, unslabbed, collectible condition. Issue No. 23 shows minor shelf wear at the edges and corners with some light surface scuffing; the spine is intact with minimal stress lines. Issue No. 4 exhibits minor spine stress marks and slight wear along the top edge with vibrant colors. Issue No. 16 shows noticeable overall tanning and toning consistent with age and paper stock, along with minor corner blunting and edge wear.
