This lot features two original Silver Age comic books from the DC Comics series Sea Devils, published by National Comics Publications. Both issues are presented raw, individually bagged and boarded. The first comic is Sea Devils #16, dated April 1964. The cover art is by Russ Heath, indicated by the initials R.H. near the center-left adjacent to the shipwreck. This issue features the story Sentinel of the Golden Head! and depicts a group of scuba divers encountering a massive golden skull and a green sea creature. The second comic is Sea Devils #35, dated June 1967. The cover art is by Howard Purcell, marked with the initials HP at the bottom left. Condition report:
The comics are in raw, ungraduated condition. Issue #16 exhibits several color-breaking stress lines along the spine and minor blunting at the corners; the cover remains securely attached. Issue #35 shows light spine wear with a few stress lines, minor softening of the corners, and light surface wear visible on the top banner area. The cover is attached.
