This lot consists of 14 vintage Conan the Barbarian comic books published by Marvel Comics during the 1980s. Included in the collection are two copies of issue 136, along with issues 186, 187, 189, 190, 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198, 200, and 204. The selection features several issues from the Marvel 25th Anniversary month (186, 187, 189, 190), distinguished by their character-portrait border covers. Issue 200 is a giant-sized anniversary edition. The cover artwork includes work attributed to prominent artists John Buscema and Gil Kane.
Condition report:
These raw, unslabbed comic books range in condition from Fair to Fine. Issue 204 shows significant damage, with a large white adhesive patch or area of paper loss in the center of the front cover and a potentially compromised spine. The remaining issues exhibit typical age-related wear, such as spine stress marks, light creasing, and minor blunting at the corners. One copy of issue 136 is housed in a modern protective plastic sleeve.
