This lot comprises four vintage Bronze Age comic books from The Flash (Vol. 1) series, published by DC Comics. The issues included are No. 301 (September 1981), No. 302 (October 1981), No. 303 (November 1981), and No. 312 (August 1982). All issues are newsstand or direct editions featuring barcodes and standard trade dress.
Issue 301 (50 cent cover price) features a Firestorm back-up story with cover art by Don Heck and Dick Giordano. Issue 302 (60 cent cover price) includes a Firestorm back-up story and a special double-page pin-up, with cover art attributed to Don Heck and Dick Giordano. Issue 303 (60 cent cover price) depicts the return of the villain The Top and includes a Firestorm back-up story, with cover art attributed to Don Heck and Dick Giordano. Issue 312 (60 cent cover price) features appearances by Dr. Fate and Heat Wave, with cover art by Gil Kane and Dick Giordano as indicated by the signatures at the bottom left. Each comic is individually housed in a protective plastic bag with a backing board.
Condition report:
The comic books are in raw, uncertified condition and appear to be mid-to-high grade. Covers exhibit vibrant colors and original gloss. There are visible minor color-breaking stress lines along the spines of all four issues. Corners show light wear consistent with the age of the publications. Page edges visible through the packaging appear off-white to white. Interior pages have not been examined outside of the protective sleeves.
