This lot consists of three consecutive issues of the Bronze Age comic book series Fantastic Four, published by the Marvel Comics Group in 1977. The collection includes issue numbers 178, 179, and 180, each with a original cover price of 30 cents. The cover art for these issues was produced by the creative team of Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott. Issue #178, dated January 1977, features the Frightful Four (Wizard, Trapster, and Sandman) and the character known as The Brute. Issue #179, dated February 1977, features a storyline with The Brute disguised as Reed Richards and the character Metalloid. Issue #180, dated March 1977, includes guest appearances by Tigra and Thundra. These are raw, ungraded comics presented in individual clear plastic sleeves with cardboard backing.
Condition report:
The three issues appear to be in mid-to-high grade, approximately in the Fine to Very Fine range. Cover colors remain bright and vibrant across the set. All three issues exhibit minor spine stress marks (ticks) and light edge wear. Minor corner blunting is visible, specifically on the bottom right corner of issue #180. No major tears, cover detachments, or significant creases are observed.
