This lot consists of 72 Star Trek trading cards produced by SkyBox International between 1990 and 1992. The collection includes cards from the 1991 Star Trek 25th Anniversary set and the 1992 Star Trek: The Next Generation Series 1 set. The cards feature a variety of subjects from both The Original Series and The Next Generation eras. Visible starships include the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-B and NCC-1701-C, Romulan Scout Ship, Talarian Observation Craft, and Klingon vessels. Technical equipment and ship systems are also well represented, featuring cards for the Genesis Torpedo, Perscan Device, EVA Suits, and Antigravity Boots. Other featured items include the Melkotian Marker Buoy and the Collar of Obedience. The card design includes full-bleed imagery with a small square holographic security stamp and the SkyBox logo on the front. The reverse sides contain Paramount Pictures copyright information and descriptive text for each subject. The collection contains several duplicates, including multiple copies of the Perscan Device and U.S.S. Enterprise-C. All items are housed in a black textured binder within clear nine-pocket plastic protective sleeves.
Condition report:
These cards are in ungraded, raw condition and appear to range from Near Mint to Lightly Played. Visual inspection through the protective sleeves indicates that most cards have sharp corners and clean surfaces. There are no obvious creases, heavy scratches, or surface stains visible. The centering on the cards appears consistent with factory production of the period. The binder shows minor shelf wear and includes a handwritten identification label on the front cover.
