BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of Vintage Hip-Hop and R&B Magazines and Foldable Posters

This lot consists of a collection of vintage hip-hop and R&B magazines and promotional posters from the late 1990s. The assortment includes prominent publications such as The Source, Word Up!, and OK! magazine. Notable issues include the February 1999 edition of The Source featuring Puffy, Russell Simmons, Master P, Big Pun, and Timbaland on the cover, as well as a separate issue featuring DMX. Word Up! issues include the October 1998 edition featuring Mya and the February 1999 preview issue featuring Lauryn Hill, Tyrese, and Canibus. Also present is the Word Up! Presents Rap and R&B Poster Spectacular featuring Lisa Left Eye Lopes and the OK! Presents The Best of 1998 issue with Mase. The collection features several large foldable posters typically included as magazine inserts. These include a Word Up! poster of Jay-Z in a black shirt and Jordan brand cap, a poster of the R&B singer Monica, and a poster of Queen Pen in camouflage attire. A large Word Up! Presents Black Music: The Year in Review poster from January 1999 is included, featuring images of Aaliyah, Janet Jackson, Usher, Destiny’s Child, and Lauryn Hill. Another poster features Tupac Shakur wearing a white tank top and a Los Angeles Kings cap. The items are printed on various weights of semi-glossy and matte paper stock common to the era.

Condition report:

The items are in good to very good vintage condition overall. Magazines show minor shelf wear including light corner creasing and rubbing to the spines. One DMX-related magazine exhibits more significant tearing and wear along the spine edge. The foldable posters show original factory fold lines. The paper and printed colors remain vibrant and well-preserved.
