This lot features a full-size commemorative baseball bat manufactured by Louisville Slugger. The bat is constructed of wood with a black finish and was produced to celebrate the 1999 National Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The barrel displays silver-filled engraved text reading Limited Edition 30 of 250. A silver-tone circular emblem is inset on the barrel, listing the names of the 1999 inductees: Brett, Cepeda, Chylak, Ryan, Selee, Williams, and Yount, surrounding a 99 and National Baseball Hall of Fame graphic. The barrel is autographed by Robin Yount in silver metallic paint pen. Manufacturer markings include the Louisville Slugger oval brand and Powerized stamp. A James Spence Authentication (JSA) certification sticker with serial number X47039 is affixed to the bat knob. This item is accompanied by a corresponding full JSA Letter of Authenticity, submission number 88925, dated December 11, 2012.
Condition report:
The bat is in excellent condition. The signature remains bright and legible against the black finish, showing only minor characteristic streakiness inherent to paint pen applications on finished wood. The finish, engravings, and commemorative emblem are well-preserved with no significant chips, cracks, or visible surface wear.
