This lot comprises 13 original newsstand editions of Adventure Comics published by DC Comics, also known as National Periodical Publications, spanning the years 1963 to 1969. The issues primarily feature Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes. Included in this group are issues No. 308, 311, 336, 343, 344, 345, 349, 354, 358, 366, 368, 377, and 379. Key highlights include issue No. 311, which features the first appearance of the Legion of Substitute Heroes; No. 343, containing the origin of the Luck Lords; No. 349, featuring the first appearance of Universo; and No. 354, which introduces adult versions of Shadow Woman, Chemical King, Quantum Queen, and Reflecto. The collection showcases cover art by prominent Silver Age artists including Curt Swan, Neal Adams, George Klein, Murphy Anderson, and Jack Abel. Most issues exhibit typical signs of wear for Silver Age comics, including spine stress marks with minor color breaking, blunting at the spine ends, light edge wear, and corner blunting. Issue No. 336 shows significant defects including chipping, tearing, and paper loss along the bottom edge of the front cover. Issue No. 311 contains a black ink date stamp reading JUN 27 REC\'D on the cover. Issue No. 308 includes a handwritten name in ink on the cover. Page quality shows moderate yellowing and tanning consistent with the age of the paper. No covers appear to be detached. These comics are raw and have not been professionally graded.
