A collection of approximately 50 comic books primarily featuring Conan the Barbarian, published by Marvel Comics Group and Marvel Comics between the early 1970s and late 1980s. The lot is anchored by a significant run of Conan the Barbarian (Vol. 1), featuring early Bronze Age issues such as #11 and #12 with interior and cover art by Barry Windsor-Smith. Other notable issues from this run include #116, #121, #123, #127, #130, #132, #143, #148, #159, #162, #164, #165, #166, #168, #170, #201, #202, #213, #218, #220, #222, #223, #233, and #234, along with various scattered issues between #41 and #114. The group also includes Giant-Size Conan the Barbarian #1 (September 1974) featuring The Hour of the Dragon with cover art by Gil Kane. Additional titles include Conan the King #21, King Conan Special Edition #1, and the two-issue official comics adaptation of the 1982 Conan the Barbarian motion picture. Condition report:
The collection generally appears to be in Fine (FN) to Very Fine (VF) condition based on visual inspection. Most covers retain good color density and surface gloss. Several issues, particularly the earlier Bronze Age copies, show minor edge wear and light spine stress. Giant-Size Conan #1 exhibits a visible vertical crease on the bottom right corner of the front cover. Vintage retail price stickers are present on the exterior of several bags. The books are not professionally graded.
