Description

BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! This lot consists of nine issues of the vintage comic book series Superman’s Girl Friend, Lois Lane, published by National Periodical Publications (DC Comics) between 1965 and 1970. The collection spans the late Silver Age and early Bronze Age of comics. Included in the set are issues 65 (May 1965), 69 (October 1966), 73 (April 1967), 75 (July 1967), 77 (October 1967 – 80-Page Giant G39), 84 (July 1968), 88 (November 1968), 90 (February 1969), and 99 (February 1970). The issues feature cover art by notable industry artists including Neal Adams on issues 84, 88, 90, and 99, as well as Curt Swan, George Klein, Kurt Schaffenberger, and Murphy Anderson. Issue 99 includes a guest appearance by Batman on the cover. These issues are standard first printings and illustrate the common themes of the era, such as imaginary stories and dramatic shocker covers. Cover prices range from 12 cents to 25 cents.

Condition report:

The collection is in raw, ungraded condition, generally appearing to be in mid-grade Very Good to Fine range. Visible wear includes minor spine stress marks and ticks on several covers. Some issues show light corner blunting and minor creasing along the edges. Issue 65 has a small closed tear on the right-hand side of the cover. Covers remain attached to the original staples. Pages show light tanning and yellowing consistent with age.
