This lot consists of an orange pebbled Wilson professional-style basketball hand-signed by NBA legend Rick Barry. The autograph is executed in silver ink on a top panel and includes the handwritten inscription HOF 1987, referencing Barry’s induction year into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The basketball features black channels and a black Wilson logo. A manufacturer sticker containing a barcode (1 94917 03086 8) and the word COMMISSIONER is present on the surface. For authentication purposes, the item is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Schwartz Sports Memorabilia, Inc., signed by President Brian Schwartz. A corresponding silver tamper-evident hologram is affixed to the ball near the barcode, bearing the individual serial number A560291. This number can be used for verification through the Schwartz Sports online database.
Condition report:
The basketball and signature are in very good condition. The silver ink is bold and clear with no visible fading or smearing. The pebbled surface of the ball appears clean and the ball remains inflated. The authentication hologram and paper certificate are well-preserved.
