BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of NCAA Basketball Media Guides, Commemorative Programs, and Autographed Ephemera

This collection consists of NCAA Division I men’s college basketball memorabilia dating primarily from the late 1990s through the late 2000s. The lot features an extensive series of Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets media guides and prospectuses spanning the 1999-2000 season through the 2006-2007 season, including publications featuring player Jason Collier and the start of the Paul Hewitt coaching era. Other media guides in the collection represent St. John’s (2000-2001) and Seton Hall (2006-2007). Commemorative programs include the 1999 Big East 20th Anniversary program from Madison Square Garden and the 2005 PIAA Basketball Championships program. The assortment includes several team posters and schedule cards from the Duke Blue Devils (2002-2010), North Carolina Tar Heels (2008-2009), Stanford Cardinal, Florida Gators, and Boston College Eagles. Notable autographed items include a 2008-2009 North Carolina team poster and a 2009-2010 Duke team poster, both bearing multiple signatures in ink. Additionally, there is a handwritten note on white cardstock addressed to Zachary and signed by Jamie Dixon, former head coach of the University of Pittsburgh Panthers. No third-party certificates of authenticity are present for the signed materials.

Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.

Condition report:

The items are in good overall condition, exhibiting typical signs of light handling and storage wear. Common issues include minor edge bumping, corner wear, and light surface creasing on the media guides and programs. The team posters show original fold lines and some wear along the edges and corners. Signatures remain clear and legible.
